GENERAL QUESTIONS

Firstly, you need to find out the operating power of your device (measured in watts). If the operating power of your device does not exceed the output power of the power station AC port, you can safely use the power station to run/charge/power it.

For instance, the CTECHi power station GT500 is capable of running AC devices at 110V that require less than 500W.
After that, you can also calculate the time required by the device to fully charge with the help of the following formula:
Working time = CTECHi 's (G240n, G320n, GT500, GT1200, ST2000~) Watt-Hours * 0.85 / operating power of your device.
Example:
Suppose your gadget consumes 60W of electricity (it may be a box fan or anything else), and you want to use the CTECHi 's GT500 to power it. In that case, according to the formula discussed above
518Wh*0.85/60w = Roughly 7 hours of working time.
Please keep in mind that the actual power consumption might be lesser/greater depending on several factors.

You can safely charge CTECHi power stations with another brand's solar panel. However, the plug size and input voltage of the CTEHCI Power Station you're trying to charge must be compatible.

Third-party solar panels for the GT1200, for example, should meet the following requirements:
● The power output from 12-29V should be less than 200W.
● The plug connections’ outer diameter should be 6.5mm, the inner diameter should be 3.0mm, and the inner needle diameter should be about 1.12mm (empty).
● CTECHi recommends an 18V 200W solar panel for the GT1200.
Note: Other brand items are not recommended for you by the CTECHi . We cannot guarantee the safety and quality of those items, nor can we provide any sort of after-sales support. It is strongly advised that you buy our specifically designed solar panel(s) for your CTECHi power stations.

All other models, with the exception of the GT500 and GT1200, accept pass-through charging. However, we don't recommend using this manner too often because it can shorten the battery life.

Even after 6 months of non-use, a fully charged CTECHi power station will store more than 50% of the charge. However, we recommend you charge the device every three months, even if it is not being used, to ensure the power station lasts you for an extended period. In case of a fully discharged product, you must charge it using the AC adapter.

● To maintain CTECHi products, keeping the battery power above 20% while using or storing the power station regularly is recommended.

In case of a fully discharged product, you must charge it using the AC adapter.
Please ensure you keep your power station at a temperature of 0-40°C (32-104°F) and between 10-40°C (14-104°F) while charging.

CTECHi portable power stations all feature LiFePO4 batteries, which have a charge-discharge cycle of over 3,500x and a life span of 5-10 years at least, which is 3-5 times greater than that of standard lithium batteries.

We highly recommend you to use and recharge the unit at least every 3 months to maximize the lifespan of your power station.

● G240N/G320N: The item’s default setting is set to not turn off by itself. You may change it yourself by pressing the function keys, the power key, and the LED light key simultaneously, and then releasing the LED light key immediately, the display will flash one time, and the product will automatically turn off within 3 minutes. If you carry out the above operation again, the display will flash twice, and the product will not turn off by itself anymore.

● GT500/GT1200: These products will shut down automatically if not used for eight hours. Please remember that the AC output will automatically switch off within 5 minutes without load.

1. In the case of CTECHi G240n/G320n, the fan will switch-on on its own once the battery’s core temperature or inverter temperature reaches 60°C (140°F).
2. When the CTECHi GT500 reaches 45°C (113°F), or when the output power reaches 100W, the fan will turn on.
3. If you are using CTECHi GT1200, the fan will automatically start when the battery core temperature or inverter temperature reaches 45°C (113°F) or the output power reaches 100W.

All CTECHi power stations contain a LiFePO4 battery. The LiFePO4 battery can efficiently carry out 3500+ charge and discharge cycles, and the battery lasts you anywhere between 5-10 years, which is 5x more than that of a ternary lithium battery.

The point of ignition of the LiFePO4 battery is rather high, ranging between 500-800 degrees Celsius. It means that you can safely place the power station in a car’s trunk, even in scorching summers.

1. Check for an issue in the connection and then make another attempt to make it work.

2. Verify the input voltage and amperage meet the portable power station's requirements. Check to see if the positive and negative terminals are linked in the opposite direction.
3. Look for error alerts on the display screen and fix the problem accordingly.
4. If the solar panel continues to malfunction even after trying the steps listed above, please contact us for assistance and share with us a video of the steps you took.
5. Please keep in mind that solar panels must be installed outside. If they are not exposed to proper sunlight and are kept indoors, they will not be able to charge the power station.
6. Please use the AC adapter to charge the product when it is entirely depleted.

● It isn’t possible to do so. It cannot. You would need to use the same parameters of solar panels to charge the power station.

● The 60W solar panel voltage is 22V, and the 100W solar panel voltage is 18V. Mixing the two would cause the high voltage to flow back to the low voltage, which will damage the circuit and cause damage to the power station.
